aw-shucks, again…
more kind words:
Hi Jeff,
Some more thoughts I had while reading nibble (16):
“Detroit” was a bold poem to open with—equal parts menace and intrigue.
I liked the side-by-side pairings of the snow leading to a vision (“it is winter”) and the snow obliterating vision (“New Directions”).
Similarly I liked the butter and toast (“Quality Time”) next to the apricots and figs (“Blue California”).
The poem that struck me the most was “On learning that a crater on Mercury was named after Li Bai, the Chinese poet.”
Happy holidays!
Kelly
